Making Your Own Luck
Many casino players feel that they have 'lucky' or 'unlucky' days. Is it true?
Are you just lucky when you win?
In short the answer is no. Casino games such as slots are random and are controlled by computer chips (or programs) that spit out combinations of lines. When you win it is coincidence and in fact not luck. But other games such as blackjack are random as well, however, it is incorporated with your own skill. You need to know the basics of this game and follow the rules in order to pump up your bankroll.
Sticking to basic strategies in card games and knowing when to leave the table will ensure you a winning session, however, not every time. It is the number of times you play that increases your chances of winning based on how large your bankroll is. For instance, if you go to a blackjack table with $5 minimum hands with a $20 bankroll, your chances of winning are small. If you have a $100 bankroll and you are at that same $5 minimum table, not only will you play longer, you will eventually win based on the number of times you've bet. The same is true in all other casino games including slots. The only exception is roulette which has terrible odds against you as a player.
To Bonus Or Not To Bonus
Ah yes the wonderful offers provided by online casinos!
Online casinos offer players 'bonuses' in which you can use upon your first deposit (and sometimes subsequent deposits.) These bonuses are designed to lure a player into their casino and hopefully keep you playing there. But have you ever wondered if it's in your best interest to accept these offers and play with the extra money?
It is true that the larger your bankroll, the better chances you have of winning, however, there are always 'rules' attached to these bonuses in order for you to successfully withdraw winnings. Usually you need to roll over (wager) the bonus plus your deposit 'a certain' amount of times before you are able to cash out. If you do win and you have not met the casino's wagering requirements you must stay and play! This may or may not be good for your bankroll because just as they say "What goes up must come down."
It is highly recommended that you read all terms and conditions before accepting an online casino bonus. Make sure you are comfortable with what the terms are defining and don't be afraid to ask the casino a question if you are unsure about a certain term. Decide for yourself whether you want to accept a bonus. Some bonuses are instant. But others allow you to choose and 'claim' your bonus. If you do not want to play with a bonus simply don't claim it. If however, the casino you choose has an instant bonus system, e-mail the casino before depositing and ask them to not comp your account. Most casinos will do this for you.
